Rheumatoid arthritis flare ups had been part of Matt’s life until he started using C60 in olive oil. Dr Steve Moore, the Chief Scientist at VITA60, interviews Matt a sufferer of rheumatoid arthritis since he was 26.
Matt agreed to take part in a trial of C60 in olive oil. He wanted to see if it would help his painful and sometimes debilitating arthritic condition. He was not paid to take part in the trial or this interview but he was provided with C60 in olive oil at no cost..

Life with rheumatoid arthritis
Matt has suffered from rheumatoid arthritis since he was 26-years-old. He says it came as a real shock to him to develop it when he was so young as no-one in his family suffers from arthritis.
Matt says that when his rheumatoid arthritis flare ups start, they cause the joints in his hands and feet to swell up and become really painful. He told us that sometimes it’s so bad that he struggles to tie his own shoelaces. He can’t dress himself or get up and down the stairs. A flare up can take several days to subside.
He had a full diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis when he was 31 when his flare up became more frequent and severe. Matt says he went to see a rheumatologist who started him on a course of medication. This was to reduce the effects of the inflammation that was causing the joint swelling and pain.
Matt told us the one thing that affected him the most was the broken sleep. He turned over in bed and his painful joints woke him. It was wearing him down. He said he could understand why some people become depressed.
The drugs he’s prescribed are methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine as they regulate the activity of the body’s immune system. Unfortunately, they have serious long-term side effects which means he can’t continue to take them forever.
What changes did Matt see after taking C60 in olive oil
Matt started on the 5-7 ml dose but after 3 weeks he hadn’t noticed any changes. We increased his dose to 20ml per day. Within 10 days he began to notice improvements in his condition. He says he noticed less joint stiffness in the morning which meant he could get through his morning routine more quickly and pain-free. As time progressed, he reduced his dose to 5-7ml per day and continued to see improvements.
Matt said he was able to do physical activities that he previously had to avoid, things he enjoyed. He was able to do them more often and without negative effects the next day. Matt said that since taking C60 he hadn’t had any flare ups that in the past had made his life a misery. He says with better quality sleep and more of it he has a more positive outlook. It meant that those everyday setbacks don’t get him down.
Matt used C60 in olive oil from the beginning and says he’s incorporated it into his daily routine. It hasn’t had a negative reaction with his medication, and he says he’s got back the quality of life he had been losing.
“I know this is not a cure but it’s the next best thing as I can start reliving my life again.”
